LOAN TERMS & CONDITIONS

For University Students

LOAN ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicant must meet at least one of the two criteria. (Criterion 2 is used only for the study period.)

1. Loan with Collateral

  • Applicant must have collateral worth more than forty percent (40%) of the loan amount.
  • Collateral will remain in the office until the loan is repaid.
  • Collateral can be a Phone, PC, TV, Motorcycle, etc.

Repayment Terms (Criterion 1)

A. Applicant must repay the loan amount with 20%(Mbeya) / 25%(Dar es salaam) interest within the specified loan agreement period (30 days).

B. If any issue arises within the loan period, an extension request will be processed with an additional 20%(Mbeya) / 25%(Dar es salaam) interest on the amount due.

C. Contrary to (A/B), the collateral will be auctioned to recover the loan amount.

2. Loan with Loan Board Guarantee

If the applicant is guaranteed by the loan board and needs a loan to make repayments through self-sustaining funds from the loan board, the maximum amount is TShs 50,000/=.

Loan Board Guarantee Requirements

  • Visit the office with the bank card used to receive self-sustaining funds, HESLB and college information.
  • One of the following identification documents:
    • Form Four Certificate
    • Form Six Certificate
    • National Identification (NIDA)
    • Passport
    • Driver's License

Repayment Terms (Criterion 2)

A) Applicant must repay the loan amount with 20%(Mbeya) / 25%(Dar es salaam) interest within the specified loan agreement period (30 days).

B) If the loan exceeds the agreement period (30 days), and the applicant fails to repay due to delayed self-sustaining funds, the following terms will apply to the loan and interest calculation:

  • Days 1 to 15: Additional 15% of the amount due.
  • Days 16 to 30: Additional 20%(Mbeya) / 25%(Dar es salaam) of the amount due.

DIGITAL SYSTEM REGISTRATION

Applicant will register on the Mwanasheria-Mikopo digital system for tracking, reminders, and record keeping for the applicant's and office's benefit.

LOAN VERIFICATION

By accepting a loan from Mwanasheria-Mikopo Co. Ltd, the applicant agrees to all terms set forth and commits to fully comply.
